About Wynne James

Wynne’s work is generally in connection with various business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, private securities offerings, corporate and LLC formations and contracts.

These are delivered to clients in a wide range of industries, including investment banking, software, engineering, healthcare, real estate and insurance brokerage. The size of transactions in which he has had a leading role as large as $900 million, with most being in the $5 million to $50 million range. Adding to his efficiency in the delivery of services is his experience not only in corporate matters but in taxation as well. He holds a second law degree in taxation and has been named one of the “Best Lawyers in America” (federal income taxation) since the inception of that publication in 1983.

Notwithstanding his experience in large transactions, Wynne gets a lot of enjoyment in representing small, emerging and start-up companies in connection with their organization, raising of capital and contract issues and often acts as what is generally characterized as an “outside general counsel” for small companies. Recognizing that these companies are often operating on limited budgets, he uses special pricing arrangements, including fixed or discounted fees, to help smaller clients ensure that their organizations are appropriately organized and in compliance with applicable legal requirements at a cost they can afford.
